With HP Instant Ink, you’ll never run out of ink again thanks to a subscription
My Windows 7 laptop couldn’t install the programme or the diagnostic software. I wasted 5-6 hours on HP Support attempting to get this to function and gave up. This may be the worst thing I’ve ever bought:-) The customer service reps were a pain. I will never buy HP again.
I can print 8.5X11 blank paper or a 5X7 photo from my iPhoneX. For 4X6 printing, I must first transfer my photographs to my laptop. But we were informed I could print 4X6 from my phone. Only a laptop/desktop allows full control over printing. I haven’t tested it on my iPad, but given how ineffective the app is, I doubt it would be any better.

The short answer is yes. First, I connect the printer to the phone’s wifi network. I didn’t write down steps because I figured it out myself. Then, when the printer’s blue signal indicator blinks, I turn on the phone’s wifi (but not hotspot). If I can’t print something from the smartphone screen, I move it to a different location, like a snapshot folder, and try again. When I press PRINT, a notification with a printer symbol appears. Then it should print. I’m going to print the user’s manual to see what this printer can do. Sorry, but that’s it for now.
